Our Website Design Process

Step 1:

Initial discussions regarding the aim of your site and mapping out of your requirements. Using our experience, we will advise you and work with you to decide on the initial functionality of your website design in terms of page quantity etc. Dont worry, if you are unsure of what you want we can talk through your options with you in non technical jargon to find the solution to suit your needs.

Step 2:

After going through your requirements for your website, we'll mock up some draft page layouts on paper and send them across to you. These drafts typically illustrate nothing more than where your logo will reside on the page, the position of navigation bars (i.e. the links to your other pages), header text, main content text etc. We will also have a think about the look and feel of your website in terms of colours etc.

Step 3:

Once the initial draft design has been finalised, we will start thinking about optimizing your website for the search engines. We ask you to provide us with what you expect people to enter into a search engine such as Google when searching for the services you offer - we will do the same as we are coming from a neutral position as a consumer. A list of keywords are drawn up we are now ready to start developing your website!

Step 4:

We start developing your website for you. This is the initial development phase of your website, we put the structure of your site together in terms of layout, logos, navigation etc. We will provide you with regular updates and provide access to a test area so you can keep track of the progress of your website. We find that this really helps to help reassure in terms of the end product.

Step 5:

This is where we concentrate on adding the content of your website and optimizing your site for the search engines further. This is where you get the chance to really sell your business to your visitors - we'll help in creating your content with you and utilize our expertise to help drive your web site up in the search engines rankings.

Step 6:

So we're nearly there! Your design has been finalized, you're happy with the content, look and feel and functionality of your website. All that is left for us to do is to ensure your website design behaves the same in all the major web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera etc) and to fully test your site for you. Once complete it's time to go-live! Your new website is ready to go and we'll move it to your live domain and register your new website with the major search engines. You now have your business on the world wide web accessable 24/7. It really is as simple as that.
